Whilst many couples can say that when they have found their ideal partner that the match was made in heaven. Cliff & I were certainly a match made in mud ! Cliff moved to Wales on a 13 acre smallholding in August 2007.
I myself lived in a small village in Devon with my two young boys, where most of the men were too old or too young. Thus making it very difficult to meet anyone. So I decided to join Muddymatches dating website and took a leap of faith in trying to find the right match. We both had a love for the outdoors, children and animals. So in October 2010 I found myself travelling to lovely Wales.
Cliff and I hit it off from the very beginning and have been together ever since. He also got on really well with my two children Kieran & Aaron. We then all moved to Wales in the summer of 2012. Our Daughter Ellie was born in September 2014. Cliff & I consider ourselves very lucky with a lot of help from Muddymatches to have found each other and a soul mate for life. A match made in mud for us was certainly better than a match made in heaven. .
Whilst mucking out the pigs on Christmas day 2011, Cliff to my surprise after just over a year together got down on one knee and proposed. It was probably not what most women envisage for an ideal proposal. Usually it would of involved going on holiday or out for a meal, Fortunately we both like pigs so it was certainly a funny and exciting day that I will always remember. Followed my an awesome Christmas dinner and a bottle of red wine.
For 7 years we ran a successful hog roast and catering company ,where we catered for hundreds of weddings and had the opportunity to see how wedding venues were set up. We used this information to develop our own ideal wedding venue. Not only for the delight of the guests but also for the practical aspect for incoming caterers, DJ/bands and bar.
After five years of hard work we feel we have achieved a unique, beautiful outdoor Wedding venue which combines a practical aspect and activities to enhance the special day.
